Misplaced translations

Shareaza 2.7.4.0, the Polish translation is completely bloated, everything seems to be fine in default-pl.xml file, but in the program texts are in wrong positions, for example:
Home - połączenie (connection):
Gnutella2: 2 huby,
Gnutella1 : eDonkey,
Lączenie (connecting): połączony (connected)

texts in another parts of program are also misplaced.

Should I report bugs here on forums, or on the bugtracker?

Maybe the translation file got screwed up... Probably the translation script needs to be run again...

default-pl.po contains too many fuzzy translations. It must be edited and all fuzzy sentences removed.

I fixed (partially) the Polish translation, I didn't remove sentences marked as "fuzzy" because they seems to be used in the program. Why Shareaza sometimes skips spaces, for example line 2192:

#: chomeviewctrl;text;8008
msgid " - Add/Remove filters to improve your search results"
msgstr " - Dodaj/usuń filtry aby poprawić jakość wyszukiwań"

so it should be:
Filtry Bezpieczeństwa - Dodaj...
but I can see:
Filtry Bezpieczeństwa- Dodaj...

Most of the fuzzy lines look fine, they seem to be translated manually be someone earlier. I haven't used PoEdit, just Notepad++ and Skin Translator of course.

Don't give up you'll need to translate 20 lines only! 8-)

Now (almost) everything is translated excepting a few missing messages! I hope I will see it in the next version of Shareaza.

Hmm... Looks like many lines just not fit:
Shareaza-pl.png

Too long line in menu:
Shareaza-pl-menu.png

Also some strings can contain "_" (underscore) - it is a mark for menu accelerators or hot keys i.e. "_Open File" in language file means "Open File" in Shareaza and can be activated by "Alt+O" in dialog or just "O" in menu.

OK, I will try to translate not exactly word-by-word, but with usage of use shorter synonyms, for example:
Połącz automatycznie przy starcie Shareazy => Połącz przy starcie
Filtruj zawartość dla dorosłych z wyszukiwania => Włącz filtr dla dorosłych (Turn on adult filter)
Otwórz mój katalog zakończonych pobrań (Downloads) => Otwórz folder Pobierań (Open Downloads folder)

I knew before about hotkeys, are hot keys hardcoded in the program, or they rely on language file - can I use different key in different languages? What is more many of the (mostly technical) strings are not translated, I will fix the Polish translation, but not now.

Shareaza uses hotkeys based on the translation, as a translation in one language might be missing the hotkey letter of an other language and vice versa. So you can decide on the best letters to use as hotkeys while translating, just make sure the same hotkey is not used twice in the same place ;)

The funny part is that even some English texts are too long: connection - "Force binding to this address", or text in about Shareaza. My corrected translation is far from perfect, but at least it's USABLE in contrast to the current Polish translation file. Please add it to the next release of S.
