Spam BOT from BMI impacts file sharing

While examining my Uploaded File log in Completed Uploads I noticed several .dll files had been uploaded by a client called OrangeWire. The IP Address was 66.212.143.109. I thought it was strange that anyone would be uploading .dll files so I searched the Internet for any reference to the OrangeWire P2P app. On a Gnutella forum, I found a thread discussing OrangeWire and learned that it was a Spam BOT courtesy of BMI, the purpose of which is to overload ports on host machines, thus preventing file sharing. Pretty damn sneaky!

I initially thought the uploads were being captured from my C: drive, outside my Shareaza Library list which was VERY disturbing but have now found that that is not correct; they were from a game I downloaded and allowed to remain in my Shareaza Downloads folder on the C: drive.

However, given the purpose of OrangeWire and its degradation of Shareaza file sharing capabilities, I highly recommend that the 66.212.*.* IP Address be blocked at your firewall to prevent further impacts from BMI and their sneaky Spam BOT.

Have did not done a clean install for very long times ( 6 month )
But I did update with Simple_AntiSpam_Filter_for_Shareaza_2015-02-02.xml from neo2001
and the ip is within the rules.
