Connecting too fast!

Postby wolf » 07 Sep 2016 08:03

Hi guys I'm not hugely techie so please bear with me..

I keep getting a message from a user called <dihxre> IP 2.242.98.111:4662. stating Your client is connecting too fast, it will get banned.

I have absolutely no idea what he means...! I've been on Shareaza for years with no issues and now all of a sudden I'm getting a dozen messages a day from this user. whoever it is never replies to my questions about what he means etc, so I thought I would come here to see if anyone else could explain it to me.

Cheers in advance.

In normal case, it is a message from your edonkeyserver
Try to find another one.

To get a new server simply LEFT-CLICK on the NETWORK tab. Here you will see all your connections. Go to the one that has the EDONKEY icon beside it, select it by LEFT-CLINKING and then RIGHT CLICK on it. From there you can just ban the user and Shareaza will automatically find you a new one. :D

Open "Host cache" window (by menu or F8) and select preferred server by right-clicking and setting "Priority server" menu item, it will be highlighted by blue color in the list. Next time Shareaza will start connecting from it.

Here you can validate the default settings, section Connection.
You will find this under Tools->Shareaza Settings-> Internet-> Connection

A reset-Button for all settings should be a nice feature. ;)
And yes, I know about the QuickStartWizard

Maybe QuickStartWizard should be new named as <Reinstall with Default Settings>
But don't know if the Menustring can take this.
