Problem with rev-Identification

Postby queuesclimber » 13 Nov 2016 19:59

I have two Versions in my Repo. One is trunk (for testing)
2nd is rev.9602 (last release)

Installing was with trunk (for new GeoIp,....) but getting black DownloadWindow after some time. (WindowedMode, no Skin)
So I replaced the .exe in installfolder with release
I have checked DekstopLink-> Properties and it pointed to Installfolder/Shareaza.exe

Problem is: When starting the link from desktop, Help says 9638
When starting .exe from installed folder it says correct 9602

I bet one Shareaza is 32-bit and another is 64-bit.

Definatly no. It is 32-bit. I build Installer(Release) with .pdb-Files (Shareaza and Bugtrap)
And I have some other conclusion. When starting Desktop-Link it finds a trunk.pdb and starts Shareaza from compilefolder and not
from installfolder.

Edit: This must be tested again -> After replacing trunk.pdb with release.pdb this issue disappears

If you dared to compile the Shareaza by yourself then you must knows whats goes wrong without asking on forum. :-) BTW typically .pdb files are loaded by debugger only i.e. Shareaza can not do this.
