This does not work. I am asked to translate all strings from the english version again. It seems not to recognize any german string...

I successfully tested it on every language file available. So what doesn't work exactly? What you did and what you got?

When you update the German .po file with the English .pot file using the update from POT file it overwrote even the strings that were already defined in German?

Well, it asked me to translate every single string from English to German no matter whether it was already translated or not...

Ryo, that was months ago and I didn't use the tool since then. I'll show you the error once I get time again, but right now, I am right in front of some Tests at university and I haven't got enough time to do such testing.

I'll report back once I got more time (+/-3 weeks).

I wanted to update a translation but the link for the skin Translation utility seems to be broken. Ryo, would it be possible to fix that link please?

These two scripts can make using the SkinTranslate.exe tool a bit more easy:

I see no differences in the main with "update all po.cmd" and "update all xml.cmd" already included to SVN.

The difference is that those are thought for updating all files there are, while mine are thought for use by a translator (to allow users who don't really know how to use command line options etc. to contribute to Shareaza by doing translation work).

Well, your scripts are obviously for updating all languages together while mine are for updating only a specific language. Also, 99% of all translators are unavailable of the existence of your scripts, while they would be informed about mine if they were attached to your post...

Maybe you could add a line to your first post informing potentially translators about these scripts being available in the repositories - including their usage.
