2.7.0.0 - XP and DX10

Postby dr-flay » 05 Sep 2013 16:10

The new build fails to run on my XP.
Using "Dependancy Walker" I see it crash when trying to access "dwmapi.dll"
This file belongs to DX10/Vista and upwards.

Please swap back to a DX9 function.

2.7.0.0

Setup crashed in final stage, and Shareaza crashed at startup.
Also on XP-SP3...

"Try this viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1570"
Debug build no crash.

Shareaza never uses dwmapi.dll by itself. Try to start Shareaza with empty Library to avoid bad codecs errors.

The debug build loads without crashing, but now takes a very long time to finish loading (several minutes).
My tigertree file is about 230 MB, and Shareaza finally responds when it has eaten about that much extra RAM.
I guess there is a relationship there ;)

If Shareaza could be set to a low CPU priority during loading, it would be more tolerable.
I will continue with the debug version.

My CoDecs are FFDShow and the MediaPlayer Classic - Black Edition direct show filters.
They are fine with everything else, and even in my preferred order.
I have already black-listed Shareaza in the FFDShow video config so it should not be clashing with that.
I just did the same with the audio filter.

Oh and I just noticed the box for selecting your AV scanner is still not usable.
I was hoping that would be fixed by now :(
