Shareaza 2.7.1.0

Postby raspopov » 24 Nov 2013 10:58

Shareaza 2.7.1.0 has been released.
Bugfixing as always (including eD2K slow upload bug). Also I tried to change Shareaza linking with Microsoft libraries from statically to dynamically, it's reduces binary file size, memory requirements and fortifies security (since MS can update its libraries separately) but increases setup size because of included Microsoft VS2010 C++ redistributable.

too much cpu usage on my side.
when looking at a file pop up windows when downloading, it moves for 1 sec then freeze for 1 sec.

after trying to delete a file, nothing happened except the fact that clicking anywhere in shareaza would not do anything. but shareaza isn't frozen as i can see download progress/ speed changing in the shareaza window. could not minimize it anymore and i have to close it by right clicking on the icon in the taskbar

looks like it was my fault, i used old search file from previous install. without it, it runs perfectly.

i'm going to make a new one and see how shareaza behave

okay, here's some news.

while i'm seven 32, i've notice that shareaza.exe was set to run as admin and with xp sp3 comptability.
i removed both and now after 32min, shareaza is using 5% max of cpu with only 40 000K of memory (before it was rather between 100 000/150 000K).

i remember having to use those setting when i first got seven (in 2010 i think) to run shareaza but since, i have completely remove shareaza a couple time so should have this modification, no?
