Playlists

Hello,
I could not find a post related to this so I hope someone can answer.

I can't seem to get all my files in Shareaza to play continously. When I open the playlist and play a file sometimes it will stop and I will have to manually hit the next button. Once in awhile it will goto the next file. Is this something with Shareaza or my files? I didn't have this problem before on my older computer. This is a new computer, windows 7.

I have also enabled the random play button.

Thanks

Does this behaviour also show if you do not use the random button?
Did you use a different version of Shareaza before?
What version are you using right now?

Hello

this still happens with or without the use of the random button. I even tried it with the repeat button. I am using version 2.5.3.0.

It's almost as if the play button gets stuck because while the file comes to an end, the pause button is still on the screen along with the stop button and the pause button doesn't resond either when you click on it.

If I pplay these files in windows media, it will automatically change to th enext song.

I see. Would you be so kind as to write a ticket on our bug tracker (you can find a link to it on the front page of our Wiki), containing as much information as you can provide for the issue to be fixed ASAP, once one of our devs gets the time to do so?

PS.: I have moved this discussion to the bug reporting forum.

this may have been fixed in recent daily builds (rev. 8992). Please try the latest debug build and see if it works for you.

Hello,
I seem to have screwed up my shareaza recently. I used the most recent debug (as suggested) and found that using that had pretty much fixed my playlist problem even though there were some instabilities. A few days ago, I went back and went to redownload shareaza and seemed to have downloaded the direct download for new users (was not paying attention) Now I can not even open shareaza. I get an error message saying: entry point not found: the procedure entry point ?frombyteslevel1@tigertree@@QAEHPBEKK_K@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library HashLib.dll.

Should I deleted Shareaza and redownload from scratch or can this be fixed?

This is normal behaviour: The dll files included in the debug builds installer are not compatible with the executable file of the non-debug builds. For some reasons, they seem not to have been deleted when running the installer you used last. Just delete all .exe and .dll files within the install directory and run the installer you'd like to use again. Then everything should be fine. ;)

crazy question...where is the install directory located? I don't even seem to have a install folder in my shareaza folder. I do have a uninstall.

The install directory of Shareaza is normally "C:/Program Files/Shareaza" (or something very similar).

sorry, but still having issues in finding the folder. I have taken a snap shot of the folder contents but cannot upload it to this reply. I get a response saying that it is invalid. Any other way to upload it?

It's easy to find it. Just have a look at the properties of any link that you can use to start up Shareaza. There should be a functionality to "find target" or something similar. Click on that button and - voilĂ  - you're at the right place. ;)
