2.5.5.0 paralyzes the screen

Something as been changed in the new version which impedes screen writing. If I have only Shareaza open, tabbing between the upload and download screens is very slow -- 10 seconds or so. Did not have this problem with previous versions. Am running XP with SP2 and 4G of ram.

If I have another site open in addition to Shareaza, and attempt to tab between them, the Shareaze headers come up, but the body of the screen remains the other site. And it seems to hang there. The only way I can get mobility between screens is to shut down Shareaza. For example, in order to be able to send this note, I had to shut down Shareaza-

Looks like I have to return to the previous version, but on that one, Gnutella 2 almost never connected. It does on 2.5.5.0.
