Unable To Browse *Any* User?

I know some users will have the Browse User button enabled, and some won't; I also know that even when it's lit up, you can't always browse the user - the button indicates a service that *can* be browsed, but it doesn't know about the individual user until it tries.

This may be a very, *very* freaky coincidence, but as of 2.5.3.0 I can't seem to browse *anyone* - I've tried something like 50 now and the odds of none of them allowing browse must be pretty negligible. Has this feature become broken? Can anyone here using 2.5.3.0 successfully browse another user?

You did remember about it taking some time for the browse to start and Shareaza often having a charming habit of looking like the operation failed until it knows the operation succeeded? IIRC it starts off with "Unable to connect" even while still trying to connect, then after some time when it has succeeded in the exact thing it reported impossible the message changes to "Unable to download a file listing."

lol, yes - *very* aware of that 'feature'. I always try twice at least because of that. The second time usually gives the right messages. Even with this 'feature' in previous versions I could connect to at least some people. Unfortunately none of the people I know I've browsed before seem to be around when I am these days so I can't test them to see if it really is a problem or simply freaky coincidence.

I tested it on my hubs, and one of them did allow browse. I am using a debug version but I don't recall fixes to browse lately.

Just a small question: Do you pass the connection test? As not passing it might explain some problems...

No, I mean "Help" >> "Connection test..."
