Why? Because they are outdated, malforatted, unhandy, crowdy, don't help anyone, etc. There is simply much more work to be done on those pages than we have anyone willing to do. Also, all of them do exist in a much better, more detailed and pictured version on portforward.com.

What exactly? All pages of the English Wiki that describe the setup procedure of a router or a group of routers (port forwarding etc.)

Also, I've added a note to each of the concerned pages stating the reason.

Last but not least, I've added a note to each language version except for the English one stating that all of them are currently being unmaintained (even the German one, which I could maintain in theory, if the English version had one or more people to maintain it).

Another thing I would recommend doing if your router supports it is installing DD-WRT on your router.

Yeah, that's most certainly something nice to have but I think that counts under the advanced trickery we will not cover in guides on our Wiki, as the maintenance of our Wiki is already too much to handle fro the current crew. We have enough to do even if we only try keeping everything within the English language version of the Wiki more or less up to date... not to speak about other language versions...
