Why do I get disconnected?

I have found it useful sometimes, when files with many sources have very slow speeds and take a rather long time to be downloaded, to disconnect from the networks and immediately reconnect. It seems that a new "batch" of networks always comes with higher speeds and more sources. Further to that, I also found that clearing the buffer also helps. My problem here is that even though I have cleared the option [not checked] "only download and upload to networks which are connected", the minute I click to disconnect from networks, all connections are cut. It used to be that speeds and sources increased and the connections were maintained when I clicked to disconnect, and I was never cut off. Can someone explain if this option was modified in Shareaza 2.5.5.0?

No idea if it was changed, but what you describe sounds like what it should be doing to me, so it probably isn't a bug that will be fixed.

As for getting the results you used to get you could:

Close and restart Shareaza, it will remember your (non-push) sources for 30 minutes or so.
For ED2K, disconnect from the server, and Shareaza will reconnect automatically.
For G2, you can clear the G2 cache (in host cache).

Hope some of that helps.
