Sparse file - Is this option enabled by default

Sparse File, programmers
Seek holes

Point2. Will try if an ext3-filesystem for incomplete folder is better
or ext4 or maybe some of the new ones I don't know yet.
Maybe this is, why the GUI is hanging with huge amount of downloads, counting always 1.000.000 fragments.
Maybe a virtual <incomplete folder> can fix this.
Should this better here or in Bugs/Features. Feel free to move to the right place. :)
Anybody here, who can program in asm ? fasm ? masm ? nasm ?

Sparse files was used by Shareaza long time ago but was disabled because of high fragmentation of result files (and sparse files can not be defragmented at all).

ext3-filesystem hasn't fragmentation. And it works. No hanging GUI anymore ( atm, 148 downloads )

Yeah, but an ext3 file system is not an option most Windows users will be comfortable switching to - or even be aware of. And remember that most users have only a single HDD running in their system - and ext3 is not supported for the C partition...
