I use Win 10 and I have 8 Gm Ram
After updating to 2.7.9.0. my desktop PC became extremely slow / the mouse pointer (cursor) danced on the monitor / the sound of movies played back from YouTube or with VLC cracked and stuttered.
I took a long time to find out that if I used Ctrl+Alt+Del to disable Shareaza completely that my desktop PC returned to normal immediately.
So I uninstalled 2.7.9.0. and I re-installed 2.7.8.0 and everything is again OK

Looks like a serious HDD problem (a newly installed software accidentally used a bad block area of HDD).

I have a similar problem.
The cursor of my mouse moves by itself only when I use Shareaza, It makes small movements.
I also have difficulty using the eDonkey network because Shareaza freezes or appears the report: "... the core network overloaded"
The problem occurs even when using the eDonkey network alone. If I use the other networks individually or them all together the problem of the blocking does not occur.
