Adding songs to an album

Brand new...really brand new! I've downloaded one song and an trying to create an album and add this song. I can see/play the song in my library with an option to create an album, I do so and it says my song has been recently added yet when I go to My Music and the Album file it says empty?? Tried Wiki and can't find the answer??
