Bring back the old scheduler

Does anyone else want the old scheduler back? Notwithstanding the fact the new scheduler is broken (the times always reset to the current time), the old graphical interface to scheduling was nice and easy to use and control.

Also, I dont know how the new scheduler works, but it seems to imply that you need to pass a specific time to trigger an event like bandwidth throttling - whereas the old scheduler would throttle the bandwidth during the period even if you didnt pass the exact time when the throttling period started.

For me it seems that this means we should add a new type of rule that applies its setting to an amount of time instead of only changing the settings at a given moment...

BTW, the new model is much better as it gives much more possibilities to the user to control what's going on...

Wasn't the "times reset to current" bug already fixed? I don't actually use the scheduler...

Yes, this has been fixed by sia, see r8659. megamic, you will need to use a debug build (see the bottom of the download page) to get a copy of Shareaza where the problem is fixed, until the next release comes out.

1. I agree that the old scheduler had sufficient functionality for most people - and the new scheduler is just too complicated for most people to understand - it is NOT intuitive.

Perhaps we need a standard mode - which looks like the old scheduler, and an advanced mode which looks like the new one. The standard mode could use the advanced scheduler under the covers.

2. In the mean time, can we please have an official build where the scheduler actually works!!!!!

It really is not acceptable to provide an official build which has something that is vital for so many people that is just not working.

Thanks.
