Feature Suggestion for IRC
Posted: 04 Sep 2014 04:43The Mapraider site mirrors all of its files with Shareaza, and the site owner uses IRC.
I suggested he swap his Shareaza IRC to use the same server and room he is in.
this has 2 benefits.
1) everyone in the room can see the mirror is live and can monitor it just like a normal user.
2) it makes it easier to connect and browse the mapraider archives
He is happy with this but is getting a bit annoyed with it. If it temporarily drops connection he has to connect to the server and re-enable the IRC.
For a normal client setup Shareaza IRC works fine, but could you add a tick box for auto-login to the last used IRC and room ?
For remote users this would be very useful to not have to baby-sit their mirror.
Could you at least try and get it to connect when launching Shareaza as it may be the easiest/quickest option for the moment ?
