Shareaza

Every time open the video files gallery in my Library Organizer, Shareaza creates new preview pictures for each file. I think these images should be stored somewhere. This would save very much system resources.

Really? I thought it already is saved within the Shareaza.db3 file? For me it is like a 30MB file and my thumbnail load up pretty quickly.

Shareaza uses SQLite database (Shareaza.db3) to cache all library file previews.

P.S. I planned to move all settings to this database but always get yet another "more important" bug I must fix before... two years past...

Multi-megabyte TigerTree as .ini file?!

I'm sure he didn't mean tigertree, but rather the settings as you stated in the post before old_death's.

Looks to be a bug, or a system specific issue. The reason I say this is that I have a large set of videos and pictures, all of which load up instantly due to it being cached in the database file. I think what is happening is that write access is not allowing Shareaza to make the database ... and each restart of Shareaza makes it seem like this is the first time these files are being cached.

I run Shareaza with admin permissions on Win7, if I don't then it doesn't save the last state as well. In the log window you would see in red something like "Failed to load Library.dat" and different sorts of error logs.

I'll try again and see if I notice any abnormalities.

We both are running Shareaza under a Win XP x64 with admin permissions, so not having write access anywhere shouldn't be the problem...

Could you tell me plz where the database file in question should be located? If the problem you suspect is really what happens, it shouldn't be possible to find it at this location. In any case, Shareaza should inform about not having access permissions to a needed folder.

I think this is a feature request...
