Auto Ban Feature Request

I'd like to request an auto-ban feature to make filtering easier. There are many bots which return file names for whatever you search for. For instance, I recently did a search for the random term gob5s290afvl4 and got hundreds of files to choose from. Clearly, these were all spam, viruses, or some other nefarious files.

Is there a way to implement a feature which will perform a search for say... multiple random requests of a significant length & auto-ban the IPs of any system that returns results for ALL of the random requests? (I assume that if a system responds to 10 randomized requests that it must be a bot)

Food for thought.

Great work on making Shareaza the best file sharing program out there!

No. The benefit over using blocklists is not worth the extra load on hubs. Any effort should go to providing better blocklists and improving security manager performance.

EDIT: To answer the actual question, keyword searches are too expensive in resources for this to be practical. (This was discussed in a previous forum.)

Fake file means likely fake host. If you're getting many fakes from one host (or subnet) then better would be to block that host (or subnet).
