[Request] New Default Skin - Tango 2.5.4

I request that Tango 2.5.4.sks be made the default skin selected after Shareaza is installed.

The Tango skin is relatively neutral and should work well as a default. In my opinion, Shareaza OS has become stale and does not go well with Windows 7 or Vista either.

Please reply in this thread with your opinions.

I think tango is not nearly polished enough to be the default skin (eg. no window frame skinning, still uses default background color for the header). But I do think it should be included in the default install.

I am in favour of including it into the installer, however, I am against using it as a default skin. It lacks window boarder skinning, which makes Windowed Mode look very ugly under Win XP and 2k. If some skinning for those boarders is added that makes them look clean and that doesn't use a big amount of space (which might not be optimal on smaller screens), I would vote however for using it as our new default.

Would it be possible to add Tango to the next debug build? For some reason I can enable already included skins under wine 1.2 but I cannot install downloaded skins, so this would allow me to take a look at it, and possibly gather more feedback from those who use these builds.

In all cases I think we all agree that if Tango is chosen as the default skin, ShareazaOS should be kept in the installer for those who feel conservative and prefer to revert to the previous default.

This is an example image showing the skin under Win XP (x64) in Windowed mode: http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/7348 ... previe.png

As you may be able to see, it doesn't lok very well, as the skin lacks window boarder skinning. If this were to be added in a clean way, maybe the skin could be a good new default for Shareaza.

PS.: Does anyone know whether it is possible to apply different window skinning rules for the boarders of the windows in Windowed mode than for the main boarder?

I disagree with making window border skinning be part of the Tango skin itself. If you want window border skinning, there should be just a skin for the window borders. As you may know, Shareaza supports selecting multiple skins at once so this could be the solution. Keep in mind, windowed mode is not used by the vast majority of people.

As for the navigation bar using the default background colors, this is actually the intent to make it looks more like native Windows.
