nothings downloading anymore.......

Hi

For the last week or so, I have barely been able to download anything, even though I pass the connection test and Im connected to all 3 networks. I am connected to 9 neighbours (always) so I dont know if this has anything to do with it, but I used to have 6 and downloaded far more than I am now. All my files sit on "pending" or "searching".

I can be connected for hours on end and still not download anything, and some of the files Im downloading have hundreds of sources. If I do finally download something its only for a short amount of time and at a really slow speed. Im not that computer savy but maybe there is a setting or something else I need to change or configure??

3) make connection test in help menu of Shareaza let us know effect
4) let us know what system you use, what shareazam what ISP, what mashine, what system etc.

ive gone through the troubleshooting and changed a few things, but the only difference I see is that I am now connecting to 5 neighbours instead of 9 now. I tried to download the olddeath installation guide (english) but it wouldnt download.

Below are the resuts of the connection test;

Results
TCP: The TCP connection has been accepted by your computer and the request has been answered. This means that other clients from the networks can properly connect to you.
UDP: An answer has been received from your client! This means that Shareaza is able to receive UDP packets from the network.
Congratulations, everything seems to be fine and Shareaza should work properly.


I am using Shareaza 2.4, Windows XP, Windows firewall. (I have downloaded the LLVN patch an made the changes as recommended)

(release or debug version should not make any difference except the debug version makes it more easy to report a bug if you find one.)

this version has just made things worse!. Now nearly all my partial downloads have been reverted back to 0.00% complete. And it wont connect to edonkey and it saying on the home page that my router/ firewall needs to be configured which it already was. Damn

I have reverted back to the previous Shareaza and got edonkey connected again, but now my "transfers" window is empty! even though it is the correct folder for my partial/ incomplete files:( what can I do?

I told you: make copy of incompletes.
Stay with 2.4.0.4 at last version. Your incompletes files are still there, only Shareaza got problem to see them. Rightclick on "0% file", in properties find name of file on disk, also there in >actions click "merge with local file" and point appropriate file in your incomplete folder. Try on "not precious file" to learn how it works. It is possible you will have to start the same download again to create a new incomplete file. When it will appear again it will download normally.

What r.... of 2.4.0.4 have you used?

Why to stay with 2.4.0.4 ? This is ReleaseCandidate and pretty soon it will be next official. If you have problem and report them they can be fixed. If not they will be present in next official relaese, no matter what number it will have.

@devs: I have reported this problem already. I think this is something that should be fixed asap or we will have flood of such post after upgrades.

when I try to 'merge with local file', there is no way of knowing which is the correct file because all the incomplete files are just letters and numbers in my incomplete folder.

Also, when one of my incomplete files that is now showing 0% resumes downloading,it will start again from scratch and not what it was previously.

The advanced edit dialog of your downloads show a number of hashes. One of these hashes is used to give the name of the respective partial file.

Once you have merged the data of your incomplete file again, the download will continue at the same place where it has been before the merging (and the parts that have been downloaded since the complete reset of your file will still be present - if they haven't been downloaded before).

Use 2.5.0.0 to continue your old 2.4-incompletes. I fixed this incompatibility.
