shareaza wont connect

hi ive had shareaza for like a couple of years and i use gnutella2 but it just says connecting and it wont connect it was working 2 days ago how can i sort this out

Download "Shareaza Instal Guide" by OldDeath and set your Shareaza accordingly. I think. Or let us know what has changed two days ago.

My copy of Shareaza will not connect as well. I think that it had to do with the last Microsoft update. I'm using XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3. Can you fix it soon?

I have not been able to download the guide either.

No, it does not pass the connection test. It claims that there is a (stealth) firewall but the Windows firewall is turned off and the router (NetGear Wireless-G Router WGR614v7) is properly set up to direct traffic to Shareaza. I can't find the stealth firewall, whatever it is.

Again, it was working adequately until the last Microsoft update last week. It changed something that Shareaza uses.

I am also having this same problem. Started a couple of days ago. Gnutell2 just says connecting. I have tried all the suggestions and still will not connect. Help

There's sometimes a problem with G2 connecting if your hosts have gone stale.

I still can't get my Shareaza 2.4.0.0 to work at all. It won't connect or when it does connect, there are no transfers. I tried the solution offered but it hasn't worked. It is now useless. If I can't get it working soon, I'll scrap it altogether and look for something else.

Shareaza does not like connecting to BitTorrent, Vuse or uTorrent 1.8.0+ either.

Tested on local network Shareaza on vista, uTorrent 1.8.3 on XP SP3 and a tracker on a linux box.
All 3 machines have the f/w disabled and no a/v software (they are test servers not connected to inet)
Shareaza security setting set to allow local net.

Connecting from Shareaza to uTorrent/Vuse and it reports invalid handshake or a random remote client error 70% of the time
And when it does connect it will refuse to transfer with no errors

Connecting from uTorrent/Vuse to Shareaza and it connects and transfers 85% of the time
the other 25% it just sits there waiting for Shareaza.

50 different size torrents tested per client.

This setup works perfectly will with other torrent clients so the problem is with Shareaza only.
