Download file limit 4GB ?

Postby chippollacks » 27 Mar 2010 22:30

I am downloading 2 large files one 4.21GB , the other 4.81GB and both have stopped downloading at4.00GB even though the status shows pending and there is a long list in the queue of potential sharers. Is this because of the 4GB limit with 32bit operating systems(im using XP)?Is there a solution? So frustrating to have 95% of the file and unable to get any more. Please somebody help.
Is there a way of opening a partially completed file to copy it?

Should have said I am using NTFS already.Am using the latest version-2.5.2.0.Also tried copying the incomplete files to my other computer which is vista 64 bit, and ran shareazzar from there, but same issue remains.

Be sure there is no 4 GBs limit on XP with NTFS for file size.

Please right click on files in My Computer (Explorer), get their properties and tell me exact size for both files.

Having the same issues. Only the ED2K links show this issue however.
When the download manages to pick up a Gnutella link the file continues to download.
The download indicator will show the files to download the 1st 4gig and even with several available files showing data available over the 4gig, nothing is downloaded. They all connected and sit there saying downloading at 0.
As mentioned though when a Gnutella link comes through the file completes.
I do have large files at true.

Sounds like a bug in our large file support...

maybe related to ticket #64 on the bug tracker?
