Edit country in Shareaza Profile

Hey everybody.. I have searched for like 2 days now, and I'm not finding any answers at all, in fact, nothing even along the lines of what I'm looking for.

I started my Shareaza account in South Africa. I have since immigrated to the UK. I want to edit my profile, specifically for the Shareaza chat so that it now shows my country as UK and not SA and I'm just not seeing it anywhere.

I have been into My Account Settings, I can see South Africa there, but cannot edit it.

Please advise. Many thanks.

wait a minute.... "account settings" ?! you do not need to create an account to use shareaza. did you get shareaza from http://shareaza.sourceforge.net or from somewhere else?


The one on the left is what the real shareaza site looks like (well, what it used to look like a few years ago). Currently any version number beyond 2.5.5.0 is a fake



in the real shareaza this setting can be changed under Tools > Shareaza Settings > Community > Edit My Profile (button) > Profile > Country

Yes, I have had a profile on the: www.shareaza.com "Shareaza" for 5 years now and haven't ever heard of the: www.shareaza.sourceforge.net "Shareaza" til you mentioned it, but yes, I do see a difference now that you've shown me.

Look up "shareaza scam" on google or "shareaza" on wikipedia for more details

Well I thank you kindly.. I cannot believe I've had that Shareaza for like 5 years, and never knew it was a scam thing. :/ I have removed it and downloaded this 1.
