I'm new to Shareaza so bear with me. Does Shareaza have a feature, like eMule (in eMule you have to 'friend' the other user first), where you can connect to another user directly and exclusively and download a file from their computer?

Can two users connect directly using Shareaza going through the Gnutella network, so user2 pulling the file can get it exclusively from user1?

This is indeed possible, for example by using the security filter to block all connections that are not from a specific source. Like this one can guarantee that all data downloaded comes indeed from that source...

Almost all p2p software (including Shareaza) creates direct connections to download files except software specially designed for anonymous connections for example GNUnet or I2P ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_P2P ).

So say user1 does not have to 'give' permission? Is there some way to see that a file downloaded from a single user. Is that kind of detail logged in Shareaza somewhere?
