Search problems with Edonkey servers

Ciao,

thanks for the constant work you are doing.
Shareaza is my favorite p2p program and I hope that its development will not end. ;)

I wanted to report a problem that I encountered with some servers on the eDonkey network.
When I do a search, I often get this response: "Your client is too old Please upgrade to last version!"

I use version 2.6.0.0 of Shareaza.

My PC: MS Windows Ultimate 32-bit AMD Athlon 64 * 2 dual core processor 5200 +, 2 gb ram, Nvidia GeForce 7025 nForce 630a.

Thank you again.

IIRC this means roughly: "You have a feature that this server requires and that is on by default in newer versions of eMule disabled." So check your ED2K settings. Not related to your client being too old in anyway...

It would be nice if they actually gave the name of the feature together with the message...

Unfortunately I still have this problem. It is impossible to perform searches on the ed2k network. I always get the same answer: [file] Your client is too old! [Extension] Please upgrade to last version. [Size] 942.22 mb. [Evaluation] Fake / corrupt [Host] 176.103.48.36 +986 [State] United States.

I'm sorry but your answer is incomprehensible to me, I did not understand what I was wrong. I use Shareaza from the early versions, I never had any problems.
Why searches not function in the network edonkey?

Obviously the eD2k server you're currently connected to requires an eD2k feature Shareaza doesn't support. Try using a different server and removing/banning the one that's making you trouble.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Actually I could find and select some servers that seems to work.
I hope that can be possible to solve the problem with the next version of Shareaza.
Thanx again for the work done.

:)
