Very bad when sitting in Europe.

Indeed...

@queueclimber, what you're seeing is the result of the poor design of some chinese P2P client called "foxy". Sadly enough, there is not much we can do ATM to solve the issue...

Go to host cache window (F8) and G2 cache, select all with ctrl-A and from the context menu remove the cached hosts. Then go to the discovery services (F9) and query (also from the context menu) a web cache.

Thank you for your tip. ailurophobe.
When the problem was actual and I didn't know what to do
except running the Setup again, I let it run overnight
and the next morning everything was ok again.

So that you were knowing about that problem,
many thanks to your wise programmers.

I think you can just run the quick-start wizard from the tools menu instead of a reinstall. It should have the same option for clearing host cache and discovery as install does.

Yes, but Setup has a checkbox for clearing Webcaches.
The Quickstartwizard hasn't, but it might fullfill the same work.

The reason why I didn't used Setup/Quickstart is the amount of
settings.
But LOL,...
just found save/restore settings.bat

Is there a special reason, why it isn't a menuentry in Tools/General
and you use two seperate files instead for that ?

It's a little bit hidden.

I'ved searched the WIKI for 'save settings' without result
and the forumsearch throw me out. ( too common search request )

Try it.

And there is no Sticky in Help and Support. ;)

Maybe it is meant to be run as a part of the uninstall/upgrade/install process? So it might not be reliable if Shareaza is currently running since the data on the disk might not be current at the moment. That would make putting it in a menu inside Shareaza downright dangerous.

With restoring settings, I agree with you.
It is impossible when Shareaza is running.
But with save settings, I disagree.
A menuentry with a simple link to the .bat-file can do this. ( except it is buggy )
Or it is undoable to change the registry or other settings I don't know.

After save settings a Notify appears

And with the Hub problem.
There is no problem anymore.
