Can't connect to active U.S. e-donkey servers

I am running ver. 2.6 and have previously had no difficulty downloading .met files with numerous currently active U.S. e-donkey servers to which I could easily connect. I can still download the current .met files and install the server IP's etc. in the Host Cache, but suddenly none of the U.S. servers will now connect. I can now only connect to servers in UA, France, SE, IL and CN.
I have pulled .met files from different sites, and have downloaded a list of servers directly from a source site(e.g.http://www.gruk.org/server.met, and edk.peerates.net). Only the UA, FR, SE, IL and CN servers will connect. The U.S. servers will not connect or respond. I do not even receive a "failure" notice.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to fix this issue?

Is there any chance your internet service provider might have started filtering your traffic? What you describe looks exactly like a symptom for such filtering...

I don't believe so. Normally, if there is an issue with internet usage, I receive an e-mail notification for the ISP--Cox Communications--And I have not received any such notice, other than a couple notices during the last 4 months that our account had exceeded the 250 GB upload-download data monthly limit for the current month. The notice states that no action will be taken, but recommends an upgrade to a higher level of service, which I did after the first notice.
How do I determine if they have instituted such filtering?
