What is HTTP Guard? Why does it force partial file upload?

Hi,

I like to be able to check the files that I have set to share, so I prefer to disable partial file sharing so I can vet the files before sharing them. However, when I go into the uploads section of the Settings and try to disable to Partial Files queue, or set it to not use partial files, a new queue is automatically created, HTTP Guard, that has partial sharing enabled. If I try to disable partial sharing in the new queue, yet another queue called HTTP Guard is created with partial sharing enabled. This happens every time I make changes and hit Apply.

This is making it impossible to prevent partial file sharing; I can see people getting the partial files in the Transfers section under Uploads, under the heading HTTP Guard.

Is there any way to prevent this and disable partial-file sharing?

You need to disable partial files sharing somewhere else in the settings. Have a look, there should be a checkbox in the uploads section. Once disabled Shareaza will not upload any new partial downloads anymore. Note however that Shareaza creates queues automatically for every type of file or network it might be able to upload to if there is no such queue present, even if the queue is not used in the end.
