Sherzara doesn't provide any results to my searches

Postby arsenicsk8 » 31 Jul 2013 14:40

Hi,

I'm using Norton Internet Security 2012, Windows 8 and a router. Everything seem to be well configured (Norton allows Sherzara in the program list), however Sheraza doesn't provide any results to my searches.

According to Sheraza, I'm connected so I don't understand what is going on.

I tried the connection test, here are the results.

TCP: The TCP connection has timed out. This can be due to a stealth firewall or router that has not been configured properly for Shareaza.
UDP: No answer has been received from your client. This can have various reasons, like that your firewall or router isn't properly configured for Shareaza, or Shareaza is not running on this port, or not connecting to the networks.

Please help !

Thanks.

These connection test results mean that Shareaza may be connected, however the connection is a limited one. You might want to recheck the configuration of your router/NAT in order to make sure the port Shareaza uses is actually forwarded there.

Hi Dr. Flay,

I'm connected to only 2 neighbours even if I turn off Norton.

Any idea why ?

What should I check with my router ?

Thanks for your help.

You have to configure your Software ( Windows/Norton ) and your Hardware ( Router-Firewall )
You must open port 6346 in your router, too.
