Lagging

I am running Shareaza 2.7.6.0 64-bit and the UI is very laggy, particularly when I right click.
When I right click, CPU goes up to c.54% on a dual CPU system, so it looks like a thread might be running at 100%. Even when the UI becomes responsive again, CPU stays high.
Note: I have quite a big security list (in case that may be a cause).
Many thanks.

I also wonder whether it might be caused by waiting for a lock when there is a half-open TCP connection as I can force the issue by asking for a browse on another Shareaza user.

Try 32-bit version, 64-bit provides no advantages.

Ok. I will.
Just out of interest, if there are no advantages to a 64-bit version, and every Windows version can run 32-bit Shareaza, why make a 64-bit version at all?

Because there will be 64bit only versions of Windows in the future. By providing a 64bit installer we prepare for this and it also allows us to test our code for 64bit related bugs.

Further experiences suggest that this is not a problem with half-open connections.
But definitely happens EVERY time I right click, and often for no apparent reason.

This is strange indeed. Do you have an unusually large amount of downloads running or search tubs open by any chance?

4 downloads. No search tabs.
Have switched to 32-bit as you suggested and no longer lagging. But of course it lost all my settings

That's interesting... Maybe there is some kind of bug within the 64 bit code causing those lags.
