Save torrent file for later download

I have used raza for years and prefer it over all competitors. Earlier this year you may remember my having some raza download issues with Vista 64-bit. Managed to get those resolved at that time and raza was working smooth and fast......until........my hard drive crashed. New hard drive is fine and still using Windows Vista 64-bit.

I have had to reinstall raza (version 2.4). I've had no problems with set up or connectivity. I do, however, have 2 questions:

1. I attempted to start the tcpip.sys file patch after reading Old Death's guide but do not see such a file listed in my Windows\system32\drivers. I have read Old Death's file patch recommendations but am not sure how to proceed with that step since I don't see such a file. Also, if you have advice on how I can proceed here would you please detail the steps for me.

2. I have my raza set up for fastest downloads (I hope) for torrents. I only download torrents. So my system is set up for high CPU usage and I ordinarily download late at night when I don't need the PC for anything else. This detail is important to know because when I find a torrent file to download I want to find the file and save it for later download on raza. Problem is when I attempt to save file to a location other than raza, raza automatically opens everytime. That starts raza and uses massive CPU so I basically can't locate more torrent files. So, I want to save the torrent file in a separate folder and not open raza for download until a later time. Where/how do I set raza up for that?

Thanks for the help.

For torrent downloading I would suggest to try debug build 2.4.0.4, i think significantly better

Would this require my having to uninstall the 2.4.0.0 version first or not?

The other concern I have with the debug is that seems others have had raza crash problems with the debug. Is that likely to happen?

The latest revision of v2.4.0.4 should have all known crashes fixes, therefore there should not be problems with the stability of this version.

The patch described in my install guide is for WinXP SP2/3 only. There are patches for WinVista, but you will have to google to find them (or use the application xp-antispy, it should also be able to raise the half-open connection limit).

Debug r8257 is reliable staff, and certainly better for torrents. Using debugs remember to check at last once/week for newer version. I suppose this can solve a problem. Now 2.4.0.4 is ReleaseCandidate also, not only debug.
