VPN and Shareaza issues!?
Posted: 05 Sep 2016 13:59My country is really tough on copyright and stuff, 3 strikes actions and things like that, so I've set up a VPN to try and download/upload anonymously, but when Shareaza connects to the networks it still uses my main IP as a sort of gateway or something, don't remember exactly the information it said.
So my question is can other users on Shareaza actually see my real IP, can my ISP recognise the p2p traffic since Shareaza still in some ways utilises and sees my main IP.
Important thing to note is that I've set up the VPN IP Address to be used in Shareaza connection settings, then and I connect to the network(gnutella2, DC and Emule), yet Shareaza still in some ways utilizes my IP. How and CAN this be prevented?
