Shareaza

I find it incredulous that I cannot find an answer to what must be a common problem with the Shareaza Programme; no mention in the FAQ's that I can find.

Since installing the programme several hours ago now I am constantly bombarded with little windows telling me:

1. That my startpage has been changed.

2. That an attempt is being made to change my default search engine.

Shareaza programme is to blame and I am getting these little window-messages every minute [or in some instances several times a minute].

I have done all that I know, not very much, to try and stop these alerts but to no avail.

If I wanted to alter my startpage or my default search engine I would do it myself, not have a programme that tries to alter my defaults to its own ends.

I had Shareaza installed some time ago but uninstalled it because of this intrusion.

Any one please know how to stop these alerts? They are driving me crazy [or my friends would say, more crazy].

It seems that you have installed a fake version. Could you plz tell us where you downloaded it?
