can't delete files from computer

hello this is my first time posting.

A couple of files I have downloaded will not let my delete them from my computer. It says I don't have permission. I am logged in as the administrator on my computer. the files will not let me change ownership.

I also have a problem with finished downloads but of a diffrent kind
when they are complete they will clear only,,,
if i watch them and see they to be fake misreading etc,,, i create a ghost file with the red stop sign but they do not delete
i have tried all of the drop down boxes but still no delete,
i can't warn other that is a fake,
I still have them as complete 11 downloads films, i have also tried it a a none ghost file

BTW, this should be a file error on your system, and not a bug of Shareaza. You should check your HDD for errors and correct them...

I cannot speak for the new version as I recently and sadly upgraded to it but the previous one would not allow a file that was being uploaded by others online to be deleted from the hard drive. Once the file was no longer being requested for uploads it could be deleted normally.

yeah, thank you, that's what I figured out was happening, it was being downloaded by others

This problem should be easily circumvented by deleting the file from within Shareaza. This stops all uploads and then deletes the file.

BTW, there have been optimizations to the file deletion mechanism (deletion to recycle bin has been added etc.) in the latest release. (v2.5.0.0)
