torrents stuck on 99.95%

Hi all :),

This is my first post here. Been using Shareaza for years. Recently I upgraded to 2.5.1, but then all my new torrents didn't finish... They all get to about 99.95%, but then stop. There are sources, Other torrents keeps d/ling (until they reach 99.95% as well), but the torrents never complete. Ever. I've created an examplarary screenshot to demonstrate my problem, but I'm quite clueless as to why this is happening :? .

With 2.5.0 I had no problems.

Also, as a side issue, I have the same problem sgtrock05 is describing in his post "Get file error when downloading torrents in Win7". I work around that by d/l the torrent file to local folder, and then specify "Open torrent" button on the Tools > Download file menu.

Any help would be appritiated.

Thanks,

You can rightclick on download > advanced propeties > actions > "forget current status and reverify". This should force Shareaza to reverify whole file and download missed parts.
BUT (1) once I had similar case and executing this command has made redownloading but first have erreased to 0... So, more safe option is to copy incomplete or move outside, start download again, when started rightclick>advanced properties>actions>"merge with local file and reverify". This way you will not loose what was downloaded. If you copy incomplete you can try "forget ... and reverify" first.
BUT (2) it is very probable source of this downloads are just damaged and you will have damaged file even reverification. For such a case in wiki in LinkTank is adres to the tool for repairing damaged download (recomended by Ryo)
BUT (3) I would try to use this file as it is 99,95 if you don't care for pure 100% very much. just because if Shareaza has not verified it it also is possible it is somehow bad encoded, damaged etc. Of course if this is not Very Important File.

I've had similar issue - try 'assume file is 100% complete and reverify', this helped me ;). But, as oce said, make a backup, just in case ;)

First of all thanks for the tips :)

The forget current status and reverify option did nothing to me. On the other hand, it didn't cause any damage either. So I'm guessing the file verifies ok. However, the assume file is 100% complete and reverify rulez and some files (the small ones - ~30MB) were affected by it. Not that they were 100% but a couple of minutes after I selected it I found they were seeding. It seems it woke something up (maybe it invalidated the missing parts? dunno, I'm not into the details of shareaza) - so thanks brov! :D

This way doesn't always helps, but it's better then nothing. If anybody got a better idea I'm still open to suggestions.

Thanks for the attention,

-- Guy
