I just reinstalled shareaza and now I have no way to start it because it doesn't show up on my programs menu. What do I do now? The only way I was able to restart it was to run the install again. Can anyone help?

It is quite strange. I would advice to reinstall and during instalation checked "make icon in systen tray" or/and "on destop" Exact name of option is similar, not identical, sorry. I also would do it as perhaps instalation was not fully succed? What Shareaza veriosn you use? I wpild suggest 2.4.0.4 - beta but really good. Or at last 2.4.0.0.
Nothing more I can say upon info you have provided at the moment. Let us know effects.

I have just noticed you asked in other thread about Fakeaza so called false malware pretending Shareaza under V6 actually. If you have installed fakeaza with whatany number it most probably damaged your system and set it for not showing true Shareaza. That can be a reason if this is the case.

2.4.0.4 version you can download from here http://shareaza.sourceforge.net/?id=debug as Kath sugest. Use the latest one, by date shown there.

I never downloaded any of the other versions, I was just asking which one was the correct one. The version I just installed is the one I downloaded from this website. The install was completely successful with no problems and shareaza runs just fine. There is just no button to start it with.

Create a shortcut by dragging the program onto the desktop with the right button instead of the left.
When you let go of the button you will get a short menu. Select "Create shortcut here" and a shortcut
will appear. Now grab that shortcut with the right buttom instead of the left, drag it to the Start button
and follow the menus through "Programs" until you get to the spot where you want to drop it.

Thats right. Also during instalation you can check a box which tells installer to create this shortcut for you. Probably you unchecked it by accident or haven't pay attention to this during instalation IMHO.
