Postby ck113 » 14 Jun 2009 05:11

It tells me that I am behind a router and to get help to come here ;) but there is no information here yet, so can someone tell me what ports to forward I already forwarded 6346 and 6881.

Go into the Shareaza Settings and look for your port in the Internet/Connection section.

Just to be sure, you did this in your router already and not just in the firewalls on your computer?

G'dayl all, from sunny South Australia. First post.

Also seem to be having some problems: I use ADSL (Netcom N6 modem) I port forwarded by setting up a static IP address over a year ago.

Using Port 6436. OS: XP Pro. I use MS firewall and Avast antivirus.

Recently Shareaza seemed a bit buggy,as I kept losing connection. I removed it,downloaded and installed the current version.
It seems to be working fine, with full connection and I'm able to download. BUT the Home page shows firewall /router warning.

Any ideas and suggestions would be gratefully received.

If you removed Shareaza first before installing a new version check to see if your
port number changed and redo your firewall and router setup to use that port.

Even if it didn't change, redo them anyway to make sure that's not the problem..

Try the connection test from within the help menu, to see whether it is a false positive, or not. If it is a false positive, simply activate the option 'I can acccept incomming connections' (set it to "Yes").
