New internet provider, now Shareaza doesn't work correctly

Hello all, I changed internet providers this week and suddenly Shareaza doesn't want to work correctly.
Apparently, my new provider has me behind a firewall, perhaps, that Shareaza can't get around? For example, if I do a search, and the keywords match something already in my library. sometimes my item won't show up at all in the list of found items. If it does show up, it has the red "X" mark meaning it is firewalled. It never used to do that before. My "home" screen doesn't seem to indicate that I'm behind a firewall.
I can't seem to download anything either. I've searched around and it looks like port-forwarding might be the answer but I'm still perplexed. Is it that simple.
I fail the connection test. The items in my library get "hits" but I never have an upload now.
My new IP is CenturyLink.
