Shareaza

Hi to everyone!
I'm Italian and i don't know very well English, then excuse me if there are some errors .

I have the last version of Shareaza (downloaded yesterday)...Gnutella, Gnutella2 and eDonkey network are very very speed (especially Gnutella2), but BitTorrent downloads very slow!
The maximum speed that I reached with a .torrent download is about 50 kb/s...with many seeds and peers

How can I speed BitTorrent net in Shareaza?

First thing - check that your port is correctly forwarded if you're behind a nat.
Try connection test from help menu and post results.

Port is correctly forwarded...It's open in router and in Windows Firewall....infact Shareaza is fast with others network, just BitTorrent is slow.
I tried other BitTorrent clients and they are OK....it's a Shareaza's problem, I think

so you pass the connection test?

Hmm, maybe there is only a blocking for BT traffic... You could try the Glasnost test for BitTorrent to find out: http://broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparency/bttest.php

Also, you might want to use the Lua DHT tool (search the forums for "Lua") to discover more sources for your torrents (this is a very advanced method).

I have never had problems with BitTorrent downloads...

Shareaza defaults to preferring BT sources. So unless you have altered settings from the defaults BT should be fast even if other downloads suffer.

Go to settings/advanced, and look for settings starting with "BitTorrent", ending with a "*", and not containing "Interface". These are potentially connection affecting settings that you are not having at default. Odds are you won't find any and that any you find are harmless, but it is worth checking. If you find any, setting them to default should be safe.
