As an alternative to traditional dialup, I receive internet through a wireless data card that plugs into a usb port on my desktop. I use ICS to share the internet between two systems. My question is, since it is still a dialup connection, MUST I use ICS to share the connection or is there a way to share the connection using my router...(right now I just have the router hooked up as a standard hub, with a computer plugged into the #1 and #2 ports...the internet uplink port is not being used...the router itself does not have a usb port to hook the modem into)
The reason I ask is because since I am the ICS client, (not directly connected to the net) shareaza cannot give me incoming connections due to the NAT. I have gone through the steps to try to port forward shareaza through ICS with no success...I'm using the same incoming port on both systems, as long as only one computer is using Shareaza at a time there should be no conflict...I just wanted to test if I could get the client a clear path, so far no luck.
Can anyone assist me in getting the client machine to work?
