I had some problems with my old computer and it finally crashed. But with my new computer I can connect and search but nothing will download? Could I have had so many problems with my old computer that I'm on a bad list?

Being banned usually hurts both downloading and searching. You can try this.

Try a connection test from the help menu of Shareaza. if this test says "everything OK!", then it might be something else, but until the exclusion of this possibility, I'd say it's only a port forwarding problem you have.
