Two year old 26gig partial file taking up space.

I've got a partial file that is 26 gigs, and has created and modified dates of mid 2009:

btih_V2G2R... ... .partial

What is it, and can I delete it?

Why does it seem that Shareaza has to completely fill up an entire hard drive with incompletes, till you are out of space?
--And then hardly completes anything?

Why does it run fast the first time after install; 100+ Kb/s but then, only seldom do you get above 15 to 19 kb/s total after that?

Each partial file belongs to one of your downloads in downloads list. Each partial is coupled with a .sd file which describes the download. Open .sd file in notepad to see what it is.

Use NTFS compression for incomplete folder as it significantly increases space.

Your question about speed needs another thread in the forum. And its your particular problem.

shareaza should really check for orphaned partials on startup and ask if it should remove the files or resume the download. This would also be an easy(er) way to import partials from another computer in large numbers - 2 birds with one stone.
