First attempt to run after install actually failed to connect. Gave me a bit of a shock/disappointment...
Anyway, the port was just reserved at the firewall or router, probably firewall, and since the version changed it was smart enough to block this different Shareaza from connecting. Changed port and it worked. Does Shareaza remove old firewall exceptions on install?
Maybe there should be code for trying a different port if Shareaza can't connect? Or detecting failure on start up in general, the GUI was showing IP address of 0.0.0.0 which can't be right so Shareaza could have detected this automatically.

Well... I am not connected either. Shareaza didn't even make the attempt for almost 15 minutes, then suddenly, it did. However I have been passing the connection test the entire time.

It does not make attempts to connect on its own.

There was a bug and Shareaza waits for 250 seconds instead of 250 ms before connection to fresh host.
Fixed, re-uploaded...

Odd. It did work correctly on restart without any delay. But I suppose a 250 second wait might cause weird side effects, and Shareaza might "resume" connections it hadn't actually made yet because the wait was so long. Anyway, a very good thing to catch before a public release! Wish all problems were this easy to notice.

Hi
How can i remove the annoying "chat" windows of DC++ hubs when they are trying to conect?
In my case i have 5 hubs that auto connect on initializing. Beside the connection attempts, if i close the chat window, it disconect from the hubs.
Is this supoust to be that way?

That wasnt the way it worked in 2.5.4.0
in 2.5.4 you could connect and not be in the chat hub.... WAY BETTER than the annoying chat room poping up all the time when you start shareaza and are disconected somehow..
i'll definitely stay with 2.5.4 even w/ its buggy G2...

I have created a
Wiki page for the change log of the new version. Plz note that work is still in progress and the current version is not the final one.

PS.: Ryo, would you mind compiling and uploading a 64 bit installer of the latest stable release?

When i double click shareAza tray icon (near the windows clock icon) when shareaza is already running, it does not maximize shareaza (full screen). THis happens only in 2.5.5 , and not in 2.5.4
Is this supoust be that way?

Set a System Restore Point and run it in a Sandbox ( many Antivir allow this )
If everything went fine, install direct.
Beeing one or two Releases behind is ok. Next will work ( with your help ). Sure
The save way is to uninstall before.
Don't forget to store your settings with running SaveSetings.bat finding in the installed folder.
