Informed P2p User Act, a worry/delay for the development?

:D Hi guys,

Today I read on Ars Technica about the Informed P2P User Act.
Because SF is hosted in the US, do we need to worry about a temp delay in the 2.5-development to change the upload functionality? :|
However this law is very confusing, because only p2p-companies to apply it, and shareaza dev team is not a ...company.

nope, does not affect us...unless the RIAA decides to make some sneaky amendments to this act later.

Thanks for the replies :D
From the other hand, This act makes us lesser responsible ( if there was a responsibility) for the content on the networks. Because with this act, the users agree what they share.

However, could it maybe smart to make for (new) users a tutorial for making a download-folder and an upload-folder in Shareaza?

Yes ODy you are right, but I have only limited time I can dedicate to project, all aspects of project I am involved in. So sorry but I think this is a kind of success that English version is more or less recovered and updated with current info. So English one, the basic one is not bad. And next one in cue is Shareaza translation, then site translation, then wiki, and before all this is trademark. And in free time between all above I have I don't know how many hundreds of wiki pages for recovering, check what is currently, think over, edit, preview, save, leave info what was recovered. Multiply this by number of languages, especially those who I don't speak like Greek or Chinese. An in this eg. french version is quite different, it is not just translated from English - it is different, perhaps better. And there are also PP forum threads which can be recovered, some contains needed knowleadge like about Discordia or what to do if... And also I'D like translate Install Guide. Have I said I'd like to share with Shareaza?

And you know from time to time I just want to do whatever else.

So polish wiki is not updated, this is true and this is not fair to say it this way.

Have a mercy for me please OD ;) .

You are free to put in as much time as you wish ;)
I'll do the same.

Just for your information, some of the content of the English wiki is just horrible. And the French section is even more outdated.

I'll update as many pages as possible in the near future (once I get some time to do it as well as enough privileges to delete wiki pages)

My very kind ask: do not delete content about older system. Add newer at the beginng. Have in mind older system related content is still needed for older systems users. Please. Add at beginng what is new. So order will appear w7>vista>xp>win2000>98 where needed. Sometimes even info about 98 is supported only by certain ver is very helpful. IMHO.

Content only useful for one OS should be marked with a template, IMHO.
