This page is meant to help people set up their antivirus properly to work with Shareaza. If you know how to set up an antivirus program that is not listed then please add it. If one of the instructions is wrong and you know how to fix it please do so

Avast (version 4.7 Home Edition)

  1. Using the avast tray icon(the spinning "a") and open "On-access Protection Control".
  2. Click the "Details >>" button. This should open up a list of installed providers.
  3. Scroll down the list of providers and select the "P2P Shield" icon.
