Anti Virus Software

This is a list of some of the most common commercial Virus scanners.
Free
However some companies provide their Anti-Virus software free for personal use.
Online
If you don't want to install a new Anti-Virus program, because you already have one installed, but still suspect an infection you can use a free online scanner which doesn't require any installation:
- BitDefender

- Kaspersky web scanner
- Panda ActiveScan
- Symantec SecurityScan
- TrendMicro HouseCall
NOTE: Some of the above online scanners require ActiveX and may only run correctly in Internet Explorer
Instructions for setting up your antivirus software.
If you are already dealing with an infected system you might find McAfees's stinger utility useful which can detect and remove the most common viruses/worms and doesn't require installation.
