Step 1 Double click the Norton Icon in the bottom right of your screen.
Step 2 Navigate to the Personal Firewall Section and click on "Internet Access Control".
Step 3 You will now see a list of programs that are permitted to access the web. Click on Add.
Step 4 Locate Shareaza.exe (the default location is "C:\Program Files\Shareaza"). Select it, and click Open.
Step 5 In the pop-up window asking you what you want to do with this application click "Permit this application access to the Internet" and then click OK.
Step 6 If another pop-up window is displayed bearing the message "Choose Application Category", select "General" and click OK.
How do I configure Norton Internet Security 2004?
Step 1 Check that Norton "Productivity Control" allows net access to "File Transfer" programs.
Step 2 Allow Norton Personal Firewall to permit all internet traffic to Shareaza.exe (see picture).
Step 3 Set Shareaza.exe to "File Transfer" category (see picture).
