Translating the IRC applet

The Shareaza website has an IRC Java applet called PJIRC for users who don't have their own IRC client. Its interface can be translated.

Check to see if it is already translated

The first thing to do is make sure the applet hasn't already been translated by someone else. Go to [1] and look for xx.lng and pixx-xx.lng where xx is the language code. If both files already exist then go to the testsite and make sure the IRC applet loads with that language. If it works then it's probably still a good idea to download the translations and make sure they are free of mistakes and fully translated. If it doesn't work then track down dcat.

Translating the applet

If it hasn't been translated yet then download the en.lng and pixx-en.lng files from [2]. Translate them by replacing the English text. Then send the translation to dcat somehow. One of the easiest ways is by pasting each into [3] and then sending the link to it.

Upload the translation to PJIRC

Optionally the translation can also be sent to the PJIRC website so that all users of this applet can benefit from the translation.
