The LinkTank is a list of important or interesting links related in some way with Shareaza project. It includes both links to shareaza project pages and links to sites/software which we think our users will find interesting and/or useful. (When you will download it, please share it for other users like you) This is very useful step by step "how to" install Shareaza explanation. Recommended for everybody, especially new users. Shareaza in Wikipedia

PeerGuardian 2 (PG2)

PeerGuardian 2 integrates support for multiple lists, list editing, automatic updates, and blocking all of IPv4 (TCP, UDP, ICMP, etc), making it the safest and easiest way to protect your privacy on P2P. (...)". It is maintained but not developed actively, open source. Idea is continued by Peerblock team, described below. All systems before Vista.

PeerBlock (PB)

This is continuation (fork) of PeerGuardian 2, fixed and recommended for Vista and W7 users - while PG2 is not.

Web Of Trust (WOT), browser plug-in

http://www.mywot.com/ WOT is very recommended addition to your browser which auto warns you against dangerous or fake-malware-virus-scum sites, so allow during surfing the Internet to avoid places which should be avoided. Also warns against sites propagating Fakeaza. Collects and is baseed on experiences and opinions by internauts.

All-In-On AntiSpam Filter

VLC media player

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ VLC is probably most popular replace for Shareaza Media Player (in Shareaza settings any external player can be set permanently as default player, and all Shareaza functionalities will remain unchanged, thanks to modular design of Shareaza). Descritpion from linked site: "(...) VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player and multimedia framework capable of reading most audio and video formats (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, DivX, MPEG-1, mp3, ogg, aac ...) as well as DVDs, Audio CDs VCDs, and various streaming protocols - full features list on site.
